At the ZLP Center for Lightweight Production Technology in Stade, Germany (a research institute within the structure of the DLR German National Center for Aerospace, Energy and Transportation Research), Reis has delivered a preform system which enables the fully automatic process chain of the EVo project (net-shaped volume parts) for manufacture of complex Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) components in high quantities.

Reis delivers the system technology for automation of the process steps draping, layer structure, quality assurance, consolidation, and fine trimming, and establishes with robots the connection to the preceding material provision and the following Resin Transfer Molding (RTM)process. Furthermore, the connection of the robots to an offline programming system is included in the scope of delivery.

Especially the wide product range of the Reis robot series with different kinematics allows an optimum system concept for this complex application.

Long years of experience in the field of system technology, as well as extensive competence in processing of fiber reinforced plastics (FRP / FVK in German), distinguish Reis Robotics as an ideal partner for the automated production of composite components.
