Symmetrix, also known as Symmetrix Composite Tooling, has opened its second Composites Innovation Center in Carson City of Nevada in the US. The main attraction of this location is the Model 6026 five-axis CNC machining centre. In addition to traditional moulding materials, Symmetrix can shape tooling from aluminium, fibreglass, and carbon fibre.

“With the opening of the Nevada centre, we have added additional capabilities to meet the growing demands of our customers,” said John Barnitt, president of Symmetrix, in a press release. “Not only do we have increased production capacity, we are now able to create tooling from an even wider range of materials.”

“Adding this capability is particularly important for our aerospace customers,” continued Barnitt. “We can now meet the growing demand for high-temperature tooling that must be created with a high degree of accuracy.”

The second centre will initially handle projects for existing customers and will begin accepting projects for new clients in the spring next year.

Symmetrix Composite Tooling is a full service composite tooling manufacturer of complex and innovative design that prides itself on precision and quality. (VM)
