Synthomer expands polymer dispersion plant capacity

Synthomer Middle East's market leading position in the supply of acrylic and vinyl acetate polymers used in the Coatings, Construction, Adhesives, Textiles and Floor Covering industries will be further enhanced by the expansion of its polymer dispersion plant in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This latest expansion will increase plant capacity to over 100,000 tonnes by early 2014.

"The market in the Middle East has continued to develop strongly in recent years and this latest expansion to our Dammam facility is essential to ensure we keep pace with the growing demands from our construction and coating customers in the region as well as providing us with the opportunity to introduce further leading edge technologies to develop our business in a broader range of market segments", said Synthomer Middle East's Managing Director, Shaz Rashid.

Synthomer Middle East is a joint-venture between a subsidiary of Synthomer plc of the United Kingdom and Dhahran Chemical Industries and Marketing Company, headquartered in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
