Toray Composites America (TCA) said it has signed a MoU with Embraer S.A. to expand its current contract to supply carbon fibre prepreg materials to include the Embraer E175 E2 programme.

“With the addition of the E175 E2 Program, Toray Composites will broaden its supply of advanced primary structure carbon fibre prepreg materials to Embraer products,” it said in a press release.

"Adding the E175 E2 programme to our Embraer business, positions us with a strong presence not only in their leading line of executive jets, but also in their commercial programmes," TCA president Ryoichi Nakama said.

"We look forward to continuing our partnership with Embraer by working the right product and technology solutions to meet their program needs," Nakama added.

"Working with TCA has been a rewarding experience that adds value to our products," said Richard Sarzi, composites specialist for the E175 E2 Programme at Embraer S.A.

TCA is a wholly owned subsidiary of Japan based Toray Industries and manufactures industry-leading carbon fibre prepreg materials for aerospace, automotive and industrial applications. (AR)
