TechnicelTextile.Net draws maximum attention at Buyer-Seller meet, Surat

Techincaltextile.net participated at a buyer-seller meet on technical textiles organised by FICCI – the largest and oldest trade body in India at the Gateway Hotel in Surat on February 15 and 16, 2012.

There were around 41 exhibitors at the buyer-seller meet which attracted visitors from across India. The booth of technicaltextile.net attracted a large number of visitors, majority of who were interested in getting information on investment in the burgeoning technical textiles industry.

The visitors were provided information on the galaxy of buyers who regularly visit www.technicaltextile.net for their sourcing requirements in this value chain. Some of the other value added services like Online Trade Fairs, Project and Market Reports, Branding and Advertisements as well as Trade Facilitation for over 200 products in technical textiles also attracted the visitors.

Our recent alliance with “Intertek” - A multinational leader in the field of Inspection, Testing and Certification was also very much appreciated by visitors from industry, academia and policy makers. We are able to rope in Intertek to promote its newly conceived “I-Supplier” to facilitate Global Sourcing in the Textile value chains (including Technical Textiles) in South Asia. Suppliers, once qualified would get an opportunity to interact with potential global buyers through this alliance.

The buyer-seller meet on both the days was preceded by informative sessions, in which experts discussed subjects like - overviews and opportunities, buyer's perspective, emerging areas, technology and global markets all in context of the technical textiles sector.

Some of the leading global players in this field like Oerlikon, Arvind, Garware, ATE, RSWM, SRF, Thea-Tex Healthcare and others participated in the exhibition.

The main objective of the event was to highlight the present global and domestic scenario, disseminate information on standardisation, emphasise on increase in usage of technical textiles products and increase awareness about the application of technical textiles amongst end-user industry.
