Japan’s Teijin Group is set to present high-quality resins and films with applications in the fields of automobiles, information, electronics, environment, and energy at Chinaplas 2015, Asia’s largest international exhibition for the plastics and rubber industries, which will be held at the China Import & Export Fair Complex in Guangzou, from May 20 to 23, 2015.

The company will display Panlite, a lightweight, shape-retaining and highly transparent polycarbonate resin, used as a glass alternative for vehicles including NV200 taxicabs in New York City, and Multilon, a PC/ABS alloy also used in vehicles around the world.

The Teijin booth will also exhibit materials that meet demands for bright, high-power LED applications in the information and electronics field. These include materials offering advanced properties for flame retardance and light diffusion, high-efficiency materials for smartphones and tablets, and the new phosphorus flame retardant (FCX-210), Teijin said in a statement.

Teijin will present Biofront and Planext bioplastics, which are petroleum-free materials suited to a wide range of applications, including automotive parts, electronic products and components, and medical products. The booth will also exhibit Teonex, a PEN resin used in the world’s first fire extinguisher to have a transparent plastic cylinder.

Teijin is a technology-driven global group offering advanced solutions in the areas of sustainable transportation, information and electronics, safety and protection, environment and energy, and healthcare. Its main fields of operation are high-performance fibres such as aramid, carbon fibres & composites, healthcare, films, resin & plastic processing, polyester fibres, products converting and IT. (GK)
