Tissue maker Von Drehle buys Valmet's Advantage NTT machine

US based tissue producer Von Drehle Corporation has purchased Finland based Valmet's Advantage NTT technology to manufacture tissues and is also the first US company to buy the new technology. The tissue machine has a width of 2.6 metre and a design speed of 2,000 metre per minute in plain mode and 1,800 metre per minute in textured mode.

The raw material for the new line is recycled fibre and the production line is optimised to save energy and fibre as well as add possibilities for product differentiation and increased capacity of premium quality products.

The tissue machine is equipped with an OptiFlo headbox and a cast alloy Yankee cylinder. It also features the Advantage tissue technology including, an AirCap hood and a SoftReel L reel and an automation package with process control system. (AR)
