At the upcoming ITMA Asia, the nonwoven division of German textile machinery manufacturer Trützschler will lay emphasis on machines and concepts that are more sought-after in the Chinese market. The division will particularly highlight new components as well as progress in processes and products in its nonwoven technologies.

Among these technologies is a modular system for fibre preparation which helps arrange individual fibre preparation. The machine on show includes, bale opening, high-precision and simultaneously high-productive weighing units and the advanced conveyor belt with blending opener.

In the segment of thermobonding, the company has a through-air thermobonder which in turn has an exchangeable structuring shell, which allows the production of bulky webs with permanent 3D structures during bonding.

For applications in hydroentangled wipes, Trützschler Nonwovens has developed the master roll winder Skywind, which is equipped with surface drive and is characterised by robustness and simple operation.

According to Trützschler, possible end uses in wet-laid and hydroentangled webs include flushable wipes, standard cleaning cloths, coating substrata, technical felts, etc.

The company also informed that it has successfully put into operation in China a second Voith-Trützschler system. (AR)
