Trelleborg finalises acquisition of Automated Dynamics

Trelleborg has finalised the acquisition of the US based privately-owned Automated Dynamics which specialises in manufacturing of advanced composite components. The acquisition provides Trelleborg a new strategic technology to develop next generation composites and to solve challenging applications in industries including chemical industry.

“Automated Dynamics’ engineering know-how and cutting-edge technology is a strategically important addition to Trelleborg. The expanded scope of capabilities and technology will be leveraged within our global market presence,” said Kristian Brok, president of global operations elastomers at Trelleborg sealing solutions.

Sales of Automated Dynamics, which is located in Niskayuna town of New York, amounted approximately $7.8 million in the year 2016. This acquisition will be a part of Trelleborg’s strategy to strengthen its position in attractive market segments.
