UFP Technologies is to exhibit its specialty fabric composite products and solutions at the IFAI Expo Conference and Trade Show in Orlando, FL from October 23-25, 2013. IFAI is the largest specialty fabrics and advanced textiles show in the United States. This event will bring together industry leaders in fiber and fabric producers, fabric suppliers and equipment manufacturers.

UFP Technologies will feature a segment of products used by the military, incorporating its combination of comfort foam and rigid plastic for impact protection for troops in the field.  It will also be exhibiting the latest in low to medium density closed cell foams used in soft, orthopedic casting and rehabilitation solutions.

UFP Technologies has the unique ability to encapsulate and edge-seal various rigid and semi-rigid substrates, which offer structural integrity, load dispersing abilities as well as patient comfort. In the athletic support and preventive injury segment, UFP Technologies will debut a multi-density composite of foam and fabric that provides varying degrees of protection, comfort and support. Incorporating a hook compatible system, the user is able to reposition the padding within the helmet.

This year the expo will be highlighting the aerospace industry in a special display. UFP Technologies’ foam tool control solutions will be featured within this section. Made from closed-cell foams and rigid plastics, tool control trays are used by aerospace manufacturers to organize and identify missing tools. Used as part of Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention programs, the benefits to quickly determine any tool lost or left behind in a large aircraft engine build are enormous.
