Zünd Altstätten, a Swiss company which specialises in manufacturing cutting solutions for the composites industry, is set to introduce a digital cutting solution, Zünd G3 M-1600, at JEC Europe expo, to be held in Paris, from March 10 to 12, 2015.

With the Zünd G3 M-1600, the Swiss manufacturer introduces a digital cutting solution geared specifically towards maximum versatility and productivity. It is the ideal cutting system for the composites industry. With a working area of 1330 x 1600 mm (52 x 63 in), the G3 M-1600 is capable of processing materials ranging from prepreg and dry weaves to core materials and laminates, Zünd said in a press release.

The tool and cutting system are protected from statically charged and abrasive dust particles, and for cleanly cutting materials with a lower melting point, it is possible to reduce the RPM of the rotary blade.

The Zünd G3 is ideally suited for composites applications. With its modular tooling, it can be tailored to meet the demands typical of this highly dynamic industry and is guaranteed to deliver exceptional productivity.

The G3 cutter can be used as a standalone solution in a semi-automated configuration for custom or shorter-run production or, just as easily, integrated in a fully automated industrial production workflow.

Zünd Systemtechnik AG, is known for designing, manufacturing, and marketing modular cutting systems and is globally recognized as a market leader. The Zünd customer base consists of manufacturers and suppliers in many different industries, including graphics, packaging, garment, and leather, as well as technical textiles and composites. (GK)
