  • Under the National Technical Textiles Mission (NTTM), India has so far approved 74 research projects worth ?232 crore in the areas of speciality fibres and technical textiles by premier research institutes and organisations in association with industry partners, minister of state for textiles Darshana Jardosh told the lower house of parliament recently.
Under the National Technical Textiles Mission (NTTM), India has so far approved 74 research projects worth ₹232 crore in the areas of speciality fibres and technical textiles by premier research institutes and organisations in association with industry partners, minister of state for textiles Darshana Jardosh told the lower house of parliament recently.

Among these, 32 projects on specialty fibres and nine on geotextiles worth ₹111.92 crore and ₹19.09 crore respectively are being undertaken under NTTM, she was quoted as saying in an official release.  

Jardosh also holds the portfolios of consumer affairs, food and public distribution as a minister of state.
