Autoliv bags Toyota's Global Contribution Award

Autoliv Inc., the global leader in automotive safety systems, has been honoured with Toyota’s Global Contribution award.

This is the automakers highest award for supplier, and is given in recognition of companies with outstanding performance during the past year.

Autoliv has received the prestigious Global Contribution Award from Toyota for the fourth time. Continuous improvement activities and strong collaboration with Toyota on a global level in areas such as quality, cost optimization, communication, and engineering support are the main reasons for Autoliv being named as a top supplier by Toyota, Autoliv informs in a press release.

Additionally, Autoliv was also selected as a winner of the Superior Value Improvement Award. The awards were presented as a part of Toyota’s annual Global Supplier Conference 2015, which took place in Nagoya, Japan.

Jan Carlson, chairman, president, and CEO of Autoliv, accepted the awards from Mr.Uchiyamada, chairman of Toyota Motor Corporation, on behalf of the Autoliv group.

Autoliv’s CEO Jan Carlson said, “We are honoured and delighted to have once again been recognized by Toyota, one of the most quality-minded vehicle manufacturers in the world. We see these awards as recognition for the dedication our associates have shown and our continuous strive towards saving more lives through innovations and high quality products.”

Today, Autoliv supplies Toyota in all regions with airbags, seatbelts and steering wheels. In addition, Autoliv’s tech centers in Japan, North America, Europe, and China support Toyota with design engineering expertise in automotive safety and with crash testing capabilities.
