Autoneum, a global market and technology leader in acoustic and thermal management solutions for vehicles, is expanding its range of high-quality carpeting for vehicles and has launched the premium carpet quality of the luxury class in the compact and medium class with Clean-Tuft technology.

The innovative Clean-Tuft technology provides considerable added value in terms of cleanliness and durability compared to the non-woven carpets usually found in medium class vehicles.

The new technology for tufted carpets has a number of advantages compared to the non-woven carpets mainly used in the compact and medium class. Additionally, Clean-Tuft offers a clearly improved cleanliness compared to non-woven floor coverings: in particular, small particles such as splinters or needles can be removed more easily and thoroughly because they do not adhere to the fabric, according to a press release.

Carpeting based on Clean-Tuft is better in terms of durability and abrasion resistance, being more robust than non-woven carpets and less susceptible to wear and tear. Clean-Tuft also offers an attractive appearance because of its virtually unchanged fibre shape and structure for the entire life of the vehicle.

Based on its long-standing expertise and unique technological know-how, Autoneum develops and produces systems and components for the engine bay, underbody, interior floor, and body-in-white of vehicles.

Autoneum’s customers are the leading automobile manufacturers in the key markets of Europe, North America, South America and Asia. The company, which is headquartered in Winterthur, Switzerland, operates and conducts research and development on a global scale at over 45 locations in around 20 countries and has a workforce of some 9,600 employees worldwide.
