Patrick Vuagnant and Reto Aebischer are presenting at the largest water sport exhibition smart solutions for the stand-up paddle, surf, wake, kite and skate industry.

A new layup concept was developed by Bcomp to use natural fibres in these products with striking benefits as: better damping, higher compression strength and enormous weight savings.

Surf Expo is held in January and September in Orlando, Florida and draws buyers from specialty stores across the U.S., the Caribbean, Central and South America and around the world. Average buyer and exhibitor turnout exceeds 20,000 attendees including retailers, exhibitors and media per show.

About us:

Bcomp is based in Fribourg, Switzerland. Its history goes back to 2003, when one of the founders was producing the first fat powder skis on a carbon fibre base. Two ambitious engineers contacted him to improve the existing ski core structure.

With plenty of endurance during infinite garage research nights and powder weekends, the friends developed novel fibre composite technologies and discovered the advantages of natural fibres. This was the spark for the idea to produce performing sustainable products for the Sports & Leisure industry.
