Canada's VPC Group announces acquisition of Fibrix LLC

VPC Group, a vertically integrated foam and fibre manufacturer, has announced the acquisition of Fibrix LLC, a leader in the nonwoven business. Fibrix is a leading manufacturer of precision crafted nonwoven materials in the United States, manufacturing products for filtration, furniture and bedding, industrial, and craft markets.

VPC’s nonwoven businesses currently operate under its Fybon umbrella in Canada. In the coming months, VPC will consolidate the identity of its expanded nonwoven business under the Fibrix banner.

The combined strengths, capabilities, and overall footprint of the two companies, provide a positive outlook for increased market competitiveness and growth opportunities as well, VPC Group said in a media release.

Current COO and partner of Fibrix Dean Cobb will continue to serve as president of Fibrix USA, while remaining a minority shareholder in the company.
