Russian firm, Composite Holding Company, has made a new product, aesthetic carbon fibre fabrics used in cars.

Aesthetic fabrics are manufactured at “Prepreg-ACM”, which is a part of Composite Holding Company, subsidiary “Prepreg-Dubna” located at a special economic area, Dubna.

The fabrics are specially manufactured from 3K carbon fibre with FAW 200 gm and heavier (depending on customers’ requirements), as well as hybrid fabrics from aramid, glass, and other types of fibre. Aesthetic fabrics are characterized by unique patterns and colours and are mainly used for finishing interiors of apartments/houses, cars, and other objects, according to a company release.

Currently there are standard pattern fabrics widely represented on the composite materials market, satin and twill. However, automotive and fashion industry representatives are creating demand for creative patterns to manufacture out-of-the-box products.

Chanel Fashion House is considering using aesthetic carbon fibre fabrics for manufacturing bags. Lamborghini and Ferrari have demonstrated interest to aesthetic fabrics manufactured by Prepreg-ACM and qualified the materials.

Alexey Martynov, Composite Holding Company analyst said, “A product that is finished by carbon structure fabrics, even the one with a standard pattern, emphasizes the owner’s status and taste. We suggest making another step – applying aesthetic fabrics. Our materials will allow expressing the most unexpected ideas and expectations and emphasize the client’s individuality, anticipating his aesthetic needs.” (GK)
