Established in 1792, Don & Low, now a business division of Thrace Group and which manufactures nonwoven polyolefin technical textiles is participating at one of the biggest global nonwoven trade show INDEX 14 at booth no. 2421.

Don & Low manufactures a wide range of nonwoven textiles for a wide variety of sectors like medical, filtration, advertising, horticulture, passenger transport sectors, etc.

Filtration:
Don & Low offer an extensive range of products suitable for filtration applications in both air and liquid processing. Wherever filters are a requirement, Don & Low have a product to match the application. Daltex® Lowbond™ has been developed for use as a prefilter and has an open fibrous matrix. It has an extremely low resistance to air flow, and even when loaded with dust, it is still able to maximise any air permeability opportunity.

New to the market, Don and Low have launched TitanTX™, a non-linting, vapour permeable nonwoven material. Although this material is 50% thinner than standard spunbond, it maintains its porous structure. Combined with its excellent ability to hold a pleat, this makes TitanTX™ an ideal alternative to current liquid filtration media. Don & Low also have the facility to match spunbond technology with the right meltblown films to meet high performance liquid filtration applications. Its nonwoven spunbond can be modified to incorporate hydrophilic, hydrophobic and anti-microbial properties to meet specific requirements.

Medical:
Don & Low manufactures a variety of unique and flexible nonwovens based exclusively on Daltex® polypropylene and polyethylene nonwoven. Barrier, protection, strength, breathability and comfort are at the core of its innovation. Protection in the operating theatre is more important than ever. Incorporating over 25 years’ experience in the nonwovens industry, Don & Low manufactures an extensive, flexible range of protective medical fabrics.

Daltex® nonwovens are incredibly versatile. The ability to adapt their properties, laminate with other materials and introduce a range of additives including hydrophilic, hydrophobic, anti-microbial and anti-static, make them ideally suited to the increasing demands of the medical market.

Horticulture:
With vast experience in the design and manufacture of UV stabilised fabrics, Don & Low have created textiles which promote quality crop growth and increase yield. Groshield® nonwoven is extensively used internationally as crop protection fleece, creating a microclimate to help extend the growing season, provide frost protection and reduce the need for insecticide. Daltex® nonwoven mulch fabrics are commonly used for weed suppression, preventing the growth of weeds and reducing the need for sprays.

Apart from the above, Don & Low’s TitanTX™ fabric offers a fully recyclable solution for advertising requirements and can typically be incorporated into supermarket banners, roller banners and promotional advertising. Its nonwoven fabrics are also extensively used in the passenger transport industry.  Tailored for the customer and their brand, our range of fabrics are used as head rest covers and travel pillowcases.
