Dornier to show upmarket machineries at Techtextil

Germany’s aircraft company, Lindauer Dornier GmbH, is set to present its machinery for upmarket high-tech textiles for the protection of people and the environment such as functional textiles for solid matter, wet and air filtration as well as shading, at Techtextil 2015, in Frankfurt, from May 4 to 7, 2015.

Under the slogan ‘The Green Machine’, Dornier would exhibit on the issue of sustainable machine development for the production of upmarket textiles in order to contribute to the reduction of the environmental pollution. Applications in the field of protective textiles, for example, against ultraviolet solar radiation, clothing textiles for fire and ballistics applications, would be a part of the expo, according to a company release.

The company would display its weaving machine system family, comprising the rapier and air-jet machines, which are innovative and sustainable machines for the production of upmarket high-tech textiles.

Dornier would also showcase its machineries under the product line ‘Dornier Composite Systems’, where the company combines the competences of the operating divisions weaving machines and specialty machines in order to be able to offer trendsetting installations for the production of technical fabrics made of high performance fibres. Applications of composite systems are found in the fields of aviation, aerospace, mechanical engineering, construction, architecture, automobile industry, and lifestyle.

Lindauer Dornier GmbH would present weaving machines specifically for the production of textile surfaces for composite technology named, Dornier rapier weaving machines that have a positive controlled center transfer for 3D structures.

Dornier’s high-precision weaving machines provide an added value for its customers also including in the field of coating, further processing and production of textile semi-finished products. The machines represent an important element in a complex manufacturing process.

The company would also show Dornier rapier and air-jet weaving machines, which are useful in domestic and clothing textiles, for a successful and innovative future. (GK)
