Teijin Aramid, a company that produces various high-strength fibres, for industrial purposes, has been awarded the prestigious EcoVadis Gold rating, placing the company among the top 5 per cent of all companies globally across various industries and within the top 3 per cent of man-made fibre manufacturers worldwide in terms of sustainability.

The EcoVadis assessment evaluates companies based on a range of stringent criteria, including environmental impact, ethical practices, and labour and human rights adherence. Teijin Aramid excelled across these categories, highlighting the growing emphasis on sustainable business practices in the international market.

The company's notable accomplishments in sustainability include the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, the advancement of a circular economy through aramid fibre recycling, and the maintenance of stringent labour and human rights standards, Teijin Aramid said in a news release.

In light of this recognition, Teijin Aramid is setting even more ambitious sustainability goals.
