Easy Composites has entered into a partnership with Eco-Technilin to become exclusive UK distributor of its products. The partnership will give customers the opportunity to buy environmentally friendly and sustainable alternatives to traditional composite reinforcements such as glass fibre. Eco-Technilin is a leader in the technical use of natural fibres.

As well as ‘green‘ credentials, these natural fibre products have an attractive aesthetic and excellent vibration damping properties. The range includes Eco-Technilin Fibrimat nonwoven, reinforcements, Flaxdry woven reinforcements, Flaxtape unidirectional reinforcements and Flaxpreg prepreg reinforcements.

Eco-Technilin dry flax reinforcements are suitable for most laminating processes including hand-layup, vacuum bagging, press moulding, and resin infusion. Flaxpreg products are uncured epoxy-matrix, UD flax prepregs suitable for autoclave, oven or hot-press cure. The materials can be used to produce a wide range of products including skis, snowboards, canoes, kayaks, architectural mouldings and vehicle mouldings from vehicle interior trim to external body panels.

"We are delighted to have formed this partnership with Eco-Technilin at a time when both personal and corporate awareness of environmental considerations has never been higher. Manufacturers - small and large - are looking for ways to use more sustainable materials in their production and consumers are keener than ever to buy products with reduced environmental impact; this is particularly true in sectors such as outdoor sports and leisure equipment where consumers tend to be most closely connected to their natural world. Easy Composites are proud to be the exclusive UK distributor for Eco-Technilin and support them fully in their goal to make environmentally friendly technical materials as affordable and accessible as possible," said Matt Statham, director at Easy Composites.

"Eco-Technilin’s mission is to develop and offer solutions to reduce our environmental footprint by proposing high-performance natural fibre reinforcements, that are easily available and affordable for the industry. With their great expertise in composites, their powerful website and high-quality tutorials, we feel that Easy Composites is the ideal partner to help us in our mission and we are delighted to team up with them to expand even more the use of natural fibres in composites," said Francois Barbier, sales director at Eco-Technilin.
