Finnish firm Suominen appoints Jonni Friman as SVP

Jonni Friman has been appointed senior vice president (SVP), transformation management office at Suominen. He will be a member of Suominen's executive team and report to president and CEO Tommi Björnman. Friman will start in his new position on June 1, 2023.

“We are aiming to reposition Suominen toward a profitable growth journey and Jonni will start leading the transformation with systematic and holistic approach. He will be responsible for leading our improvement projects and strategy execution. I am sure that Jonni’s versatile expertise and knowhow will strongly support our path forward,” said Björnman.

Friman's professional journey spans across various high-level positions in different organisations over the years. He is currently managing director at Sydeemi Oy. Before that, Friman was part of Capacent Oy, starting as a senior manager from 2008 to 2010, advancing to the position of business unit director between 2010 and 2013, and then serving as a partner from 2013 to 2016, Suominen said in a media release.

Friman's background also includes a strong foothold in supply chain and business development, holding several key positions at Nokia Corporation from 1995 to 2007.
