Gurit gets wind turbine OEM as new customer

Gurit, a worldwide leading developer and manufacturer of advanced composite materials, components and technologies, has won a major wind turbine OEM as new customer for its Tooling business. The new customer placed a first set of orders for wind blade mould systems at a total contract value of some CHF 11 million to be produced and supplied in 2017.

Gurit`s Tooling division is one of the largest independent manufacturers of wind blade mould systems worldwide. With manufacturing sites in Taicang, China, and Szczecin, Poland, production capacity currently amounts to some sixty wind turbine blade mould sets per year.

In addition, the Gurit Tooling business also produces and supplies wind blade mould related equipment such as heating systems and lifting, turning and transport devices.

The companies of Gurit Holding, Wattwil/Switzerland, are specialised on the development and manufacture of advanced composite materials, related technologies and select finished parts and components. The global Group has production sites and offices in Switzerland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Spain, the UK, Poland, Canada, the US, Ecuador, Australia, New Zealand, India and China. (SV)
