INDEX sees Bostik's 'gecko' nonwoven adhesive brand

The gecko is a remarkable creature, known for unsurpassed bonding capabilities that allow it to cling to almost any surface, run up polished glass and support its entire body weight with a single toe.
 
The Bostik gecko, the icon of a bold new corporate brand, will be hanging from the ceiling at INDEX over Booth #2138 in the form of a 10-foot sign that showcases the colorful lizard and the company’s new tagline: “smart adhesives.”
 
The rebrand comes as Bostik celebrates its 125th anniversary in 2014 with a major marketing campaign that kicked off with the recent unveiling in Paris of a gigantic outdoor advertisement featuring the new corporate brand. The advertisement’s giant gecko dominates the side of nine-story building on one of the most-traveled roads in Europe. 
 
Concurrent with INDEX, a press conference on Bostik’s new brand and positioning is being held in Paris on April 10, and will feature Bernard Pinatel, Bostik Chairman and CEO. 
 
“The new logo reflects who we are,” said Pinatel. “We are a technology leader that has been developing innovative adhesive solutions for more than a century. We know how to make smart adhesives: functional products that can do a lot more than just stick things together.”
 
Bostik is a leading global adhesive specialist in industrial manufacturing, construction and consumer markets, including the disposable hygiene market.

Korselt invited INDEX show attendees to visit Booth #2138 to learn about the latest developments in core, elastic attachment and stretch solutions. “Just look for the gecko,” she said.
