Producer of advanced composite materials – Gurit presented with award

Gurit, a leading developer and manufacturer of advanced composite materials, is pleased to announce that its Automotive business, Gurit Automotive Ltd, has been honoured with an award at the recent Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce, Tourism and Industry Business Awards for Excellence.

Gurit Automotive, a leading manufacturer of carbon composite body panels for the automotive industry, based on the Isle of Wight, was presented with the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce Employee Development Business Award. The awards were presented on Friday 23rd November, at Cowes Yacht Haven.

This award recognises all the hard work and dedication of the Gurit Automotive team”.

The award follows Gurit Automotive's recent success at the Composites UK Innovation Awards 2012. Gurit Automotive was presented with the Composites UK Manufacturing Award at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, in the NEC Complex on the 7th November. The awards celebrated innovations in composite materials, design and manufacturing.

On Gurit: The companies of Gurit Holding AG, Wattwil/Switzerland, (SIX Swiss Exchange: GUR) are specialised on the development and manufacture of advanced composite materials and related technologies featuring bespoke physical and chemical characteristics. The comprehensive product range comprises fibre reinforced prepregs, structural core products (man-made materials and balsa wood), gel coats, adhesives, resins and consumables as well as certain finished parts.
