Composite Essential Materials (CEM), a leader in the industry for core materials, and Saertex, the global market leader in multiaxial fabrics, are set to distribute Saertex core material, SAERfoam, formed by through-thickness glass fibre reinforcements with an ultra light foam to create core material for infusion, RTM, and pultrusion processes, in US.

The main advantage of SAERfoam is its ratio stiffness/weight for all major parts, flooring and decks. Therefore, SAERfoam is an ideal replacement of PVC, PET, and balsa wood. It can be tailor-made and customised, is easy to cut, has excellent impact resistance and is compatible with all resins. Over the years, it has become a well-established solution in the marine and transportation industry based on Bureau Veritas and Germanisher Llyod's Type Approvals.

Nicolas Vernin, product manager - SAERfoam said, “Now based in Port St Lucie, Florida, CEM offers a complete source for cores in the US, reason why it is an ideal partner. Saertex' worldwide strategy is to offer, through its distributors, a local service with people specialised in core material. Saertex, dedicated to its wind blade direct accounts, has been working for the past 6 months, exclusively with CEM promoting its SAERfoam range, throughout the US market.”

Nick Dan, CEO of CEM said, “CEM is proud to be the chosen strategic partner for Saertex in the US. Equally, we chose Saertex for their cutting edge innovation, professional staff, and stellar performance. Together, we will breathe life into composites solutions.” (GK)
