US’ P&G elect Rajesh Subramaniam to board of directors

US’ consumer goods company, Procter & Gamble company (P&G), has announced that Rajesh Subramaniam, president and chief executive officer of FedEx Corporation, has been elected to its board of directors at its 2022 annual meeting of shareholders. P&G shareholders elected all 11 P&G director nominees, including Subramaniam and ten incumbent directors.

Europe’s Ahlstrom-Munksjo to go by the name Ahlstrom

Ahlstrom-Munksjo has started to operate under the business name Ahlstrom as of October 3, 2022. The company has completed the ownership reorganisation of its decor business and thus proceeded with its plan to change its name to Ahlstrom. The divested decor business continues as an independent company under the well-recognised Munksjo name.

PET Baltija to buy Czech fibre producer in record-breaking investment

PET Baltija, which is one of the largest PolyEthylene Terephthalate (PET) recyclers in Northern Europe, has announced an agreement to acquire a leading Czech fibre producer Tesil Fibres s.r.o, a spin-off of SILON s.r.o. The Map Ta Phut site of Covestro in Thailand recently received ISCC PLUS certification, an internationally recognised system for biomass and bioenergy sustainability certification.
