If you are a fitness fanatic who wants to do things alone, then you won't have to hire a personal trainer anymore.

Thanks to the miracle of technology and the generosity of the Kickstarter community, the world is now closer than ever to a piece of smart clothing that gives us a 3D picture of our full-body movement, providing us with personalized feedback, just as a coach or trainer would.

A product of California-based Enflux, this smart clothing is designed with athletes and fitness enthusiasts in mind. It aims to help a fitness buff exercise properly without having any injury and setbacks. It consists of a shirt and a pant with 10 tiny motion sensors located on the legs, arms, and torso. With the help of those sensors, it monitors the 3D movement of the body, and then sends the data to a compatible smartphone app.

Enflux Smart Clothing records an individual's body, analyzes his/her form, and tracks progress. It is being described as a revolution in motion capture technology, designed for you to get better results and avoid injuries.

An individual wearing it will get a real-time audio feedback on his or her progress, form and many more. The real fun begins once the workout is done- you can literally watch a 3D avatar or yourself performing the same workout you did so that you can understand your exercise from a real coach's perspective.

If you are not happy with the result the app shows you, you can send those data to the professionals via an online platform, which will then be analyzed by a real coach or trainer and they will provide feedback on your workout without being physically around.

The shirt also comes with a heart rate monitor optimized for aerobic activity and endurance training. The current version of this clothing is only optimized for weightlifting and running, but the makers of Enflux say that future version will track many more sports.

The piece of clothing can easily be washed in the washing machine with other clothes. The project has raised over $86,000 of its $100,000 goal with approximately two weeks left. The price is set for the early birds at $249. (SH)
