German manufacturer of nonwoven technologies, Trützschler Nonwovens said the Trützschler Card TC 15 introduced at ITMA 2015, has been successfully launched on the market.

As per a Trützschler press release, the card is based on the successful TC 11 series and has been advanced in many areas and offers higher performance and lower operating costs

According to the company, production is approximately 15 per cent above the performances of the TC 11, while also providing low energy consumption.

"The installed electrical power of the TC 15 is also 1.6 kW lower and the company also actually lowered compressed air consumption by 90 per cent,” Trützschler said.

“The area of web doffing and sliver formation has been completely redesigned and delivery speeds of 400-500 metres per minute are not uncommon,” it observed.

“This is also the reason for using the proven quality sensor of the levelling draw frames, the Disc Monitor, in the cards now, while at the same time, a pneumatic piecing-up system makes operation easy,” the company stated.

The new TC 15 can be coupled with the Integrated Draw Frame IDF 2 as well as with the new can filling station T-Move for Jumbo Cans and is also available as man-made fibre version TC 15S. (AR)
