CPM Wolverine Proctor dryers, curers and agers have been generating profits for over a century for its clients. It is now partaking at INDEX 14 being held in Switzerland from April 8 to 11 at stall no. 1402 and has launched a high efficiency fibre drying system.

As one of the global leading thermal processing system manufacturers, CPM Wolverine Proctor has acknowledged the growing customer demand and prerequisite, for dryers with the lowest overall operating cost, and optimised product consistency, coupled with traceability.

Its service to the food, chemical, pharmaceutical and tobacco industries has also enabled advance technology crossover to be applied to fibre drying.

The new range of fibre dryers, aimed at producers of rayon, nylon, olefin, acetate, acrylic and lyocell fibres, have the following improved, and new, features.

Control and monitoring system allowing for:
- By the second time recording of all process parameters
- Automated control of humidity / atmosphere %OV in each drying zone for optimal energy usage
- Where reordering is required, automated re-humidification control loops
- Product mass flow variation automatic fine tuning of air flow and humidity
- Run in / run out auto sequence to eliminate product variance, and wastage of energy
- Auto ‘idle’ mode, to eliminate energy wastage during longer periods of unanticipated down time
- Auto reminders for scheduled maintenance and run time logs
- Auto pressure drop monitoring of internal filtration system
- Ultrasonic levelling sensing across width of conveyor to ensure even product loading/ treatment

Mechanical Upgrades include:
- Continuous internal filtration system, to prevent heat exchanger blinding. No manual changing of filter cassettes required.
- High efficiency ultrasonic nozzle re-humidification for minimal water usage/ waste water treatment costs
- Conveyor chain system requiring no lubrication, minimal maintenance, and down time
- Three stage feed system to dryer, to minimise product loss and ensure absolute evenness of
- Selection of highest efficiency drives available; low maintenance / long life components.

CPM Wolverine Proctor provides the high efficiency (HE) model fibre dryers, within the same value for money package as before. Customisation, and selection of features, to suit processor requirements, is still available in the HE range.
