Chinese firm Suntech to enter carbon fibre era

Suntech will break through the ST series of high-speed rapier looms in 2022, positioning its strategic plan in the manufacture of special fabric looms. Suntech is known to keep pace with time and conduct in-depth research on the weaving of carbon fibre fabrics. In the future, it will use smart textile machinery to fully produce carbon fibre fabrics.

US’s Hexcel & Metyx unveil new carbon pultrusion technology

US’ composites company, Hexcel, and Metyx are set to manufacture high-performance carbon pultruded profiles made from polyurethane (PU) resin and unidirectional carbon fibre for the wind energy market. Metyx is a manufacturer of high-performance NCF and woven glass and carbon, consumables, core, and fabric kitting, moulds, prototypes, and components.

Finland’s Exel Composites & Kineco join hands for pultrusion market

Fabric developed in US deactivates biological & chemical threats

American firm Hexcel continues growth momentum in third quarter

Hexcel Corporation, a US-based leader in advanced composites technology, has reported a 16.3 per cent sales growth to $333.8 million in the third quarter (Q3) of FY21 ended on September 30, 2021, compared to the same period of previous fiscal. Operating income for the three-month period rose to $22.8 million over the loss of $37.6 million in Q3 FY20.
