UK based Aircelle Ltd has signed a deal with Velocity Composites to provide engineered structural and consumable material kits.

This deal is expected to enable Aircelle to achieve savings on material costs and improve productivity for the nacelle components it builds.

The partnership with Aircelle is a significant milestone in the growth of Velocity Composites, which was founded with Aircelle’s support as a three-person business in 2007.

Velocity now employs 85 people at a 32,000 square feet site and expects its regional workforce to exceed 100 early in 2015, along with a second site in the south of England.

“This deal demonstrates both, how far the company has progressed, as well as our confidence in their processes,” said Stéphane Cueille, managing director of Aircelle Ltd.

“Aircelle’s support has been critical to our growth, and we’re privileged to work with such a world-class business,” Chris Banks, Velocity Composites’ operations director.

He added. “We’re continuing to grow, and this means we’re creating high quality well-paid jobs for people in east Lancashire.” (AR)
