Greenfields puts synthetic turf pitches in Tunisia

Greenfields, a leading name in the supply of artificial grass and a part of Tencate, has installed five FIFA-certified synthetic turf pitches in five different locations of Tunisia in the last few months, according to a press statement issued by the company.

The pitches were installed in Carthage, Ajim Djerba, Korba, Kram and Menzil Bourguiba. Four more such pitches are also expected to come up in the country.

Tunisia, until then, did not have a single FIFA-certified pitch. The five pitches were installed by a Tunisian contracting partner of Greenfields, Witco Sports. They are a part of the FIFA Quality Programme.

Football is the most popular sport in the country. The market is large and uncoordinated, and much – if not most – of the competition is price based. Greenfields is the only FIFA preferred producer for synthetic turfs in this country. (MCJ)
