During this year’s BIOMEDevice exposition in San Jose, California, Secant Medical will be exhibiting its biomedical textiles engineering and novel biomaterial capabilities.

The technical staff will be available at booth #633, December 4–5 to discuss how medical textile engineering and advanced biomaterials can enhance the design of cardiovascular, general surgery, neurovascular and orthopedic devices.

“Biomedical textiles offer clear benefits to medical devices. They are engineered to mimic the body’s native structures and provide flexibility in device functionality,” said Dan Treusch, business manager at Secant Medical.

“We look forward to discussing how our technology platforms can inspire solutions to the product design challenges that medical device manufacturers may face.”

With a focus on next-generation resorbable biomaterials, Secant Medical creates structures that facilitate the repair, recovery and regeneration of the human body.

The company will display a wide range of samples to further demonstrate the biologic and mechanical performance characteristics of its biomedical structures, including flexibility, controlled porosity, low-profile delivery, and radial strength.
