Technical Absorbents partaking at Performance Days

UK based Technical Absorbents is participating for the first time at the Performance Days Functional Fabric Fair in Munich at booth no. 507.

“Created as a special platform for functional sports and workwear fabrics, including yarns, finishes, and accessories, Performance Days has become a well-established semi-annual event,” stated a Technical Absorbents press release.

The super absorbent solutions provider will be looking to promote its technology to a wide range of visitors, including major European sportswear brands.

Technical Absorbents has been manufacturing Super Absorbent Fibre (SAF), which absorbs up to 200 times its own weight in demineralised water and developing SAF-based super absorbent solutions for over 20-years.

“It is experienced in working with clients from the ground up, supporting development programmes and creating bespoke absorbent solutions that are tailored to meet specific customer requirements,” it added.

“SAF can be converted into a wide range of disposable and durable fabrics for use within performance apparel,” product development director Dr Mark Paterson explained.

“Being fibre-based, our fabrics can be precisely tailored into a diverse range of functional fabric formats that offer the potential for enhanced design and performance,” he too added.

“Such fabrics create the optimum conditions to help manage moisture and increase wearer comfort,” Paterson informed.

He further added that solutions that can be worn next to the skin or over outer clothing and are based on cooling through evaporation of absorbed water or through absorption of body perspiration. (AR)
