Andritz to supply technology for recycled fibre system

Andritz, an Austria-based supplier for equipment systems and services to pulp and paper manufacturing units, has received an order to supply technological equipment to Sonoco-Alcore, Finland.

The company will supply pulping and de-trashing equipment for the OCC stock preparation line at the Karhula paper mill whose start-up is scheduled for the third quarter of 2016, Andritz said in a media release.

Andritz will be supplying Andritz FSR pulper rotor and a screen plate for the existing low-consistency pulper. It will also supply a completely new de-trashing system, a de-trashing pump, a de-trasher FibreGuard, a wash drum, field instruments, spare and wear parts, and a field service package.

The successful completion of the order, will help to increase the production capacity and improve the efficiency and will reduce the fibre loss. While at the same time energy consumption will remain unchanged. (NA)
