Flex films' new plant in Kentucky starts commercial production

Our new state-of-the-art Polyester Film plant at Elizabethtown in Kentucky, USA has started commercial production during January 2013. The 8.7 meter wide BOPET Film line is larger than any other film line presently operating in the USA and can turn out 36,000 MT of film per year. It is complemented by a plasma enhanced high-barrier metalliser that can convert 6,000 MT of film per year.

This plant, located in the heart of the world's largest and most advanced Packaging Film market, will help us in servicing North American film users and ensuring that just-in-time deliveries of freshly manufactured films are made to them within 7 days of receipt of their orders.

A second 8.7 meter wide BOPET Film line and high-barrier metalliser are planned at this facility and work on this will commence soon. Please log on to our Global Presence section to view photographs of our new plant and film line.

Flex Films participated in the PACKEXPO 2010, one of the largest Packaging Fairs held in Chicago, USA from 31st October to 3rd of November. A good number of participants from all fields of Packaging Industry visited our booth and appreciated it.

Mr. Pradeep Tyle, CEO Flex Films and Chairman of International Affairs Committee (Americas), PHD Chambers of Commerce, hosted an interactive lunch meeting with H.E. Mr. Jaime Virgillo Nualart Sanchez, H'ble Ambassador of Mexico to India at the PHD Chamber, New Delhi on 31st of August, 2010.

UFLEX participated as Gold Sponsors in INTERNATIONAL SUMMIT FOR PACKAGING INDUSTRY 2010 held at Mumbai on the occassion of INDIAPACK 2010, International Packaging Exhibition. They also presented a paper titled "PACKAGING INDUSTRY - YESTERDAY, TODAY AND TOMORROW" at the conference.

Flex Americas S.A. de C.V, the Mexican arm of Flex Films has been accredited with ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and ISO 22000 certifications. This is the first time a company in Mexico has achieved ISO 22000.

Flex announces expansion of BOPET film capacity at Mexico. First Stone of the new plant laid by Hon'ble Governor of Tamaulipas in Mexico on 17th May'10.
