National Safety Apparel (NSA) recently announced the acquisition of Drifire, a brand of technologically advanced performance safety apparel to protect military personnel, from Optimer Brands.

NSA's acquisition will increase the company's portfolio of flame resistant (FR) brands and add to its existing house of brands. The Drifire line of safety products will be promoted to distributor-partners alongside NSA's existing ArcGuard, Vizable 360, Carbon Armour, HYDROlite FR, and Tecgen Select brands.

Drifire products are being used in a variety of industries, which include power generation, petrochemical, and INDYCAR racing.

Chuck Grossman, president and CEO, NSA, said, “This acquisition further strengthens our position in the safety market as a leader of FR performance garments. We will continue to look for strategic acquisitions that complement the markets we serve.”

“NSA is a perfect fit for Drifire. I am confident that the combination of Drifire's global brand and NSA's manufacturing and distribution resources will produce high performance FR solutions that cannot be matched. It is indeed a perfect fit,” said Darryl Schimeck, CEO, Optimer Brands. (HO)
