Protective Industrial Products (PIP), a leading supplier of personal protective and safety equipment, is set to launch the G-Tek 3GX range of cut-resistant gloves made with Dyneema Diamond Technology fibre at the 90th China (International) Occupational Safety & Health Goods Exhibition (CIOSH) in Shanghai.

The latest range of PIP’s G-Tek 3GX cut-resistant gloves which meets the China’s National Standard for Hand Protection, Protective Gloves Against Mechanical Risks (GB24541-2009), and the EN 388 Standard cut level 3, 4 and 5 protection, will be on display at PIP’s booth W1/ATC03.

The G-Tek 3GX cut resistant gloves offers significant benefits over generic High Performance Polyethylene (HPPE) fibres and other traditional materials used for cut resistant gloves such as aramid, leather, nylon, and Polyester/Glass fibres.

The unique material enables up to two times the cut resistance performance versus generic High Performance Polyethylene (HPPE) fibres. They are very comfortable to wear and more likely to worn and stay worn, to prevent accidents. The Dyneema Diamond Technology fibres also offer a cool touch and releases heat faster than aramid gloves, allowing hands to stay cool and not become sweaty, according to a press release.

The cut resistant gloves offer ‘skin-like’ dexterity, promoting natural hand movements, which allow users to be protected while performing delicate and precise tasks efficiently. They offer higher durability in comparison to gloves made with traditional materials like aramid, and offer significantly greater abrasion resistance.

Olivier Boubeaud, global segment director at DSM Dyneema, said, “Our close partnership with PIP and the latest G-Tek 3GX range of cut resistant gloves made with Dyneema Diamond Technology are testament to our ongoing commitment in setting new standards and delivering truly reliable and innovative solutions to serve industry needs, and protect the hands of millions of workers in various industries in China.” (GK)
