Sandler announces investment plans for Germany and US

Sandler AG celebrated its 140th company anniversary on May 10, together with 240 guests from the political, economic and social spheres. The company announced that over the next two years, it plans to invest a total of €80 million at the company headquarters in Schwarzenbach/Saale, Germany and Sandler Nonwoven Corporation in Perry, Georgia, US.

PFNonwovens consolidated revenues up 4.4% in Q1FY19

In the first quarter of fiscal 2019, the consolidated revenues of PFNonwovens, a leading European producer of nonwoven textiles, reached CZK 1,607.2 million, up 4.4 per cent y-o-y. The developments in polymer prices had a slightly positive effect on the development of revenues. Likewise, sales volumes in tonnage terms grew on a y-o-y basis.

Teijin Frontier launches new silicon polishing pads

Teijin Frontier, Teijin’s fibres and products converting company, has made polishing pads that are expected to enhance silicon wafer quality control while also lowering production costs. The new silicon pads are made with nonwoven Nanofront ultra-fine nanofibre, which is made with a flexible, water-absorbent polymer, impregnated with polyurethane resin.
