Dutch firm Teijin Aramid secures EcoVadis Gold for sustainability

The company's efforts in reducing emissions, recycling aramid fibre, and upholding strict labour standards have been recognised. Moving forward, Teijin Aramid plans significant investments in sustainable production.

Surplex offering 4 mask production lines in Netherlands for auction

Despite a forecasted annual sales decline of 27 per cent, the mask market is expected to reach $2.13 billion with 7.76 billion masks produced by 2027. Surplex is auctioning four Richpeace medical mask production lines until May 22, 2023, located in the Netherlands. The production lines for auction have a capacity of 2.4 million masks per week.

Finland’s Suominen posts sales of €47 million in 2021

The net sales of Suominen were recorded at €47.0 million in 2021. In 2021, net sales of the Americas business area amounted to €265.2 million and net sales of the Europe business area to €178.1 million. The manufacturer’s ability to innovate and meet market needs is reflected in the share of new products of net sales which was above 25 per cent in 2021.

Netherlands’ Rivertex launches alternative to PVC coated fabrics

Netherlands-based Rivertex Technical fabrics Group has introduced Rivercyclon, a non-toxic, recyclable, lightweight and cost-effective alternative to PVC coated fabrics. It is made from a single polymer that contains no plasticisers or other toxins and can be fully recycled. Rivercyclon is up to 40 per cent lighter than PVC coated alternatives.

Netherlands’ Strohm & Evonik get certification for composite pipe

Strohm and Evonik have been awarded certification from DNV, attesting that the unidirectional Carbon Fibre PA12 tape “VESTAPE PA12-CF” (PA12) used for Strohm’s Thermoplastic Composite Pipe (TCP) is fit to use for dynamic sweet and sour hydrocarbons, water, and gas injection applications according to DNV-ST-F119. Strohm is Netherlands’ manufacturer TCPs.
