Aditya Birla Retail Limited (ABRL), the retail arm of the $40 billion Aditya Birla Group,  has partnered with another group company – Birla Cellulose, to launch a first of its kind initiative in the baby wipes category.

The baby wipes made of spunlace nonwovens have been produced from cellulose fibres which are 100% natural and biodegradable, making the baby wipes supple and smooth.

ABRL said that with these baby wipes, parents are now being provided with a product that is perfect for their child’s sensitive skin.

“Crafted with the utmost care, the fabric, feel and texture is designed to make the wipes truly unique, ensuring that the customers of ABRL experience a product that doesn't fall short of being the best,” it added.

ABRL said that the baby wipes relieve the baby of irritations, rashes and reddening of the skin and is a product that fundamentally focuses on state of the art nonwoven ingredients that are skin friendly and eco-friendly as well.

Mrinmoy Mukherjee Chief Marketing Officer at ABRL said, “When it comes to such a sensitive product, making use of the right ingredient is a must, and Birla Cellulose has proved to us that they are indeed the best when it comes to perfecting such a product."

Birla Cellulose' fibres specifically designed for baby wipes meets the needs of product manufacturers globally and undergoes stringent tests that checks its purity and hygiene.

These fibres due to their cellulosic origin are completely skin-friendly and hygienic and their superior texture nurtures the skin by absorbing excess moisture without impacting its tenderness.

Furthermore, the fibres are made at factories that are ISO 9001 and 14001 certified and are complied with European pharmacopoeia and are certified according to Oeko-Tex, thereby aligning perfectly with ABRL's high standards of expectation.

Kurien Pothen, Global Sales Head – Nonwovens at Birla Cellulose said, “Birla Cellulose nonwovens fiber is used globally by leading brands as a key ingredient for hygiene products and of course, in this case, baby wipes." (AR)
