Optitex, the leading provider of 2D and 3D CAD/CAM and Virtual Prototyping software solutions, and the sponsor of the Best Student Made Handbag category, announced the 5 finalists: Stephanie Carnes - Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), Ami Davidson - The Manchester Metropolitan University, Palwasha Iqbal - Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), Morgan Richards Savannah - College of Art and Design and Kathleen Friedman - Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT).

Optitex will grant the winner a full software package, along with a special internship at Coach, the leading New York design house of modern luxury accessories, and one of Optitex’s strategic 3D partners.

"Realistic 3D product representations are taking a growing role in processes within fashion brands, and amongst the various stakeholders in the ecosystem", said Asaf Landau, Optitex's Chief Executive. “As industry leaders, such as Coach, leverage 3D Virtual Product technologies in more and more of their processes, we strongly believe that today’s students should master 3D solutions in order to stay aligned with the evolution the fashion market is undergoing.”
