Gurit signs deal with Mahogany for B³ SmartPac

Gurit a leading global manufacturer and supplier of composite materials, engineering, tooling, parts and systems, is pleased to announce a new tolling arrangement with composite kit manufacturer Mahogany Company of Mays Landing ( New Jersey), for the fabrication of Gurit’s B³ SmartPac solution. 

Following Gurit’s recent global re-structure, to improve future growth both as a supplier of a unique and comprehensive range of composite materials and as a systems and engineering provider, supplying composite tooling equipment, engineering and select finished parts, Gurit has decided to streamline its B³ SmartPac operations in Bristol, Rhode Island, and toll produce all North American B³ SmartPac kits in conjunction with Mahogany Company of Mays Landing.

Mahogany Company brings tremendous experience in kit cutting and will fabricate all B³ SmartPac kits to existing specifications, utilising the same innovative labelling and packaging techniques that have come to define the B³ SmartPac solution. Gurit USA’s sales, customer support and structural engineering teams will continue to operate from the Bristol, Rhode Island office.

Gurit’s B³ SmartPac is a versatile construction solution that helps builders manufacture composite components more efficiently and cost-effectively than ever before. The B³ SmartPac solution comprises optimised structural design with pre-cut reinforcements and core materials, designed to reduce complexity and cost in production boatbuilding. Whatever the requirement Gurit will continue to supply the B³ SmartPac  to meet customers specific needs.
