Finnish nowovens fabrics and filtration producer Ahlstrom has enlarged its indoor air portfolio by introducing ‘Pleat2Save’ filtration media.

Ahlstrom says Pleat2Save is a new portfolio of products targeted for residential, commercial and healthcare HVAC (heating, ventilation and air condition) applications.

“The Pleat2Save provides superior durability during demanding process and usage conditions compared to other similar products”, Ahlstrom adds.

Ahlstrom has now a full portfolio of products for high efficiency air applications including Pleat2Save, Flow2Save and Microglass filter media.

"Ahlstrom Pleat2Save is a robust product that offers excellent processing performance during filter pleating, bringing significant savings to filter manufacturers and cleaner air", says Fulvio Capussotti, EVP, Advanced Filtration.

Ahlstrom's Advanced Filtration business area is a global supplier of air and liquid filtration materials with a leading market position in life science and gas turbine filtration.

The business area has seven production sites producing filter media in five countries.

Ahlstrom is a high performance fiber-based materials company and its materials are used in filters, medical fabrics, life science and diagnostics, wallcoverings and food packaging.

In 2013, Ahlstrom's net sales from continuing operations amounted to EUR 1 billion and employs 3,500 employees serving customers in 24 countries. (AR)
